Ok. So much has been going on lately it is completely wild.
I had a great weekend with friends, it was strange at times (for other reasons) but for the most part rad. I ended up going to a friends house party on Saturday for a mansion he was babysitting in the Hollywood Hills. The house was insane. It had a room with a big tree and coy fish swimming around and whatever. The view was amaze. The pool and hot tub were even better.
Sunday I went out with friends to West Hollywood after successfully getting extremely smashed on my couch. We went to the Abbey and I lost my remote clicker to my gate so I can't get my car out to drive anywhere until I get a new one. Unfortunate. Had a big ordeal about it with the landlord who wasn't helpful. So I had to order a new one. Oh well.
Monday I had like the worst hangover of life but rallied anyways, and me and Taylor headed over to a friends place in Los Feliz for a fourth of July pool party. I was way too hungover to drink, but I got to swim around and enjoy ANOTHER hot tub (i love hot tubs) and eat a shit ton of free food, so that was cool.
I made some nice new friends this weekend. LA has been good to me, just busy and exhausting and at times stressful. I bought a brand new car, so my bank account hurts forever and always from it. BUT im excited about it because I can travel whenever I like to where ever I like with it.
I have a concert coming up, going to see Brand New and Modest Mouse with Petra in a few weeks so that's rad. On top of that I'll be visiting my dad in Phoenix the last weekend in July, then in SF the first weekend of August for Outside Lands. I finally get to cross seeing Radiohead off my bucket list (Weird Fishes is literally playing in the background right now).
I love love love my job as a copywriter in Westwood. The company is rad, the people are nice, it's right next to an Ikes etc etc. I might take up a second job driving for Lyft to save extra money. I want to buy a house in the next three years, and also pursue some hobbies like drumming. I want to purchase a new skate deck too and hit some of the skateparks here in LA. I've mostly been a street skater but I could get down vert style.
I do have a bit of a strange situation going on, I was offered (possibly, nothing is set in stone yet, no one freak out) a job back in SF. My previous CEO called me this weekend with a full time writing position at my last gig. and I loved it so much, it's a very tempting and difficult decision to make. I kind of hate LA but to be fair I haven't given it a chance yet.
My sister was in a car wreck this weekend. It was a scary experience because I was on the phone with my mom right as it happened. She drove past it. The car is basically totaled, and my sister is really lucky she walked away with minor injuries. From the sounds of it at first, it seemed she was badly injured or dead. Extremely fucking terrifying. It made me realize all the other things i've been upset over are so small. Like losing old friends or lovers not working out, etc. Life is way too short to dwell on things that don't matter in the long run, especially people who aren't giving you a second thought.
Sometimes it takes shitty things to put life back in perspective for us.
ANYWAYS, i'll post updates as they come. I never think anyone reads this thing until I get messages about it. Stay tuned!!
